After the Karat Agfa produced the more conventional Solinette with the lens
protected in the folded position. Although produced alongside Agfa's next miniature - the
Silette - for several years the Solinette can be seen as its precursor. There are
obvious cosmetic similarities, and many parts would have been common to both cameras. However there were differences,
the Solinette's Apotar has a slightly longer focal length and is set in a helical mount, it lacks lever film transport and the
shutter must be set manually for each shot.
