Parat

Parat-I
lens 30mm f2.8 Agfa Color-Apotar
shutter 3-speed Prontor-125
Until Agfa introduced its Parat series half-frame cameras had been the almost exclusive preserve of Japanese manufacturers. Cameras like the Olympus Pen were exquisitely made, very well specified, and around twice the price of a full-frame camera. What Agfa did however was to produce an inexpensive, unmetered model - something that had yet to appear from Japan - to accompany the better specified Paramat and Optima-Parat.

Paramat
lens 30mm f2.8 Agfa Color-Apotar
shutter 3-speed Prontor-125
Fully-automatic version of the Parat-I with Agfa's familiar red lamp/green lamp exposure indication in the viewfinder. It has a single shutter speed of 1/125th for normal exposures, 1/25th for flashbulb exposures and a B setting. Unlike the Parat-I the Paramat also features a brightline frame in the viewfinder.
